Day 6 17 Feb 2026 First formal written complaint submitted to CMHO. The family formally requested investigation and action, beginning the documented administrative process.
Day 22 5 Mar 2026 Second round of complaints submitted to CMHO and Police authorities. Due to lack of visible action, the family escalated the matter and sought accountability through multiple authorities.
Day 40 23 Mar 2026 First CMHO inquiry report issued. Initial findings were recorded more than one month after the incident.
Day 49 1 Apr 2026 Third round of escalation complaints submitted to CMHO and Police. Continued representations became necessary because the family perceived no meaningful progress in the matter.
Day 69 21 Apr 2026 Final CMHO inquiry report issued, recording that the ICU lacked a qualified Intensivist and a functional Code Blue emergency response system. A critical milestone. The government's own inquiry legally certified the ICU as non-compliant with the Clinical Establishments Act, obligating the District Magistrate to take immediate regulatory action.
Day 77 29 Apr 2026 FIR No. 0260 registered at Police Station Balaghat. Registration of the FIR acknowledged that the allegations warranted criminal investigation.
Day 78 30 Apr 2026 Post-FIR representation submitted to CMHO seeking action against the hospital. Even after FIR registration, the family continued seeking regulatory action based on the CMHO findings.
Day 104 26 May 2026 Public candle march organized in Balaghat. Memorandum submitted to police demanding action. The issue became a matter of public concern due to the perceived lack of progress and accountability.
Day 107 29 May 2026 Defamatory news articles planted by hospital management. Establishes that the accused is actively using the administrative delay to intimidate the family and manipulate the narrative.
Day 111 2 Jun 2026 RTI application filed before MP Medical Council regarding doctors' registrations and regulatory compliance. Filed to verify whether the medical professionals involved were practicing in accordance with applicable statutory requirements.
Day 112 3 Jun 2026 118-signature petition submitted to DM and CMHO seeking ICU sealing based on CMHO findings. The community united to submit their concerns directly to local leadership.
