Vitals better and more stable; still no signs of consciousness
Vivek continues to receive care in a home ICU set-up under close medical supervision. His vital signs are currently better and more stable. However, there are still no signs of consciousness, and he remains under close observation and continuous medical care.
While this remains a challenging phase for Vivek and our family, we continue to remain hopeful and follow all medical recommendations.
Now in a home ICU; battling a severe infection
Vivek is currently receiving care in a home ICU set-up under close medical supervision. He has been battling a severe infection, which has significantly affected his energy levels and overall well-being. He remains weak and requires continuous monitoring and supportive care.
The medical team is closely managing his condition and providing the treatment needed to control the infection and ensure his comfort. The ongoing costs of medications, infection management, nursing support and home ICU care continue to be substantial.
Thank you for the birthday wishes; palliative care continues
Thank you so much for all the beautiful birthday wishes you sent for Chhotu on 20 June.
As advised by his doctors, Vivek is currently undergoing palliative care and remains under strict medical supervision at the hospital. This phase of treatment is essential to ensure his comfort and that his ongoing medical needs are met without interruption. To sustain his care, the fundraiser has been extended.
A blood infection overcome; his eyes now move in coordination
Recently Vivek faced a serious setback when he developed a severe blood infection that caused his blood pressure to drop dangerously low. For several days his condition was extremely critical. In true Vivek fashion, he fought back: he has overcome the infection, and his blood is now completely sterile again.
The powerful medications used during this period temporarily affected blood circulation to his hands and feet, leaving dark marks at the base of his nails.
Most encouraging of all, Vivek's eyes are now moving in coordination, and when he hears familiar voices or sounds he tries to look around and locate where they are coming from. Our immediate goal is to safely move him to an advanced neuro-rehabilitation centre.
Small improvements day by day
Vivek's treatment is progressing steadily. He remains in critical care, but we are seeing small improvements day by day. The medical team continues to monitor him closely and adjust his care plan as needed, with regular check-ups and tests to track his progress.
Thanks to your generosity, Rs 2,021,439 has been raised through Milaap so far. These funds are being used for Vivek's ongoing ICU care, medications and essential medical tests, and we anticipate continued expenses for his critical care in the coming months.
Still in the ICU; a severe infection fought off
Vivek remains in the ICU under close medical supervision. Recently he fought off a severe infection, showing us all just how much of a fighter he truly is.
The doctors are hopeful that once his vitals stabilise further he can be moved to a specialised neuro-rehabilitation centre to continue his healing. As severe brain injuries take time, our daily medical expenses continue to rise, and the campaign has been extended so his care can continue without interruption.
No change in condition; still unconscious
At present Vivek's condition remains the same, and he is still unconscious. He continues to remain under close medical supervision and is on prescribed medications as the doctors continue treatment and monitoring.
Milaap adds 10% matching on donations
Milaap announced that it would add 10% to every donation made to the fundraiser, for as long as its matching funds last.
Still in a coma; palliative care alongside ICU support
Vivek is still in a coma and remains admitted in the hospital under constant medical supervision. His condition continues to be critical, and he is receiving palliative care along with ongoing ICU support to keep him stable.
While there has not yet been a significant change in his responsiveness, the doctors are continuing all possible supportive treatments.
